Town Council

There are 8 Wards in Sutton Coldfield with a total of 24 Councillors in the Town Council, and all 24 Councillor seats are up for election in May 2026.

  • Mere Green – represented by 2 Councillors
  • Reddicap – represented by 2 Councillors
  • Roughley – represented by 3 Councillors
  • Trinity – represented by 3 Councillors
  • Vesey – represented by 5 Councillors

City Council

There are 69 wards in Birmingham, which are represented by either 1 or 2 councillors.

There are a total of 101 councillors in Birmingham, and all 101 council seats will be up for election in May 2026.

Registering to vote

The deadline for you to register to vote in this election is Monday 20 April 2026.

Registering for a postal vote

The deadline to apply for a postal vote for this election is 5:00pm on Tuesday 21 April 2026.

Postal votes will be sent out in 2 tranches (stages).

To ensure your postal vote is sent out in the first tranche, around Thursday 23 April, you should apply for your postal vote before Wednesday 1 April 2026.
