Civic Leaders, residents, community and faith representatives gathered at Holy Trinity Parish Church on Sunday 18 May for this years annual civic service.
The newly elected Mayor of Royal Sutton Coldfield, Councillor Cindy Yip, was joined by Dame Christine Braddock DBE Deputy Lieutenant for West Midlands, The Lord Mayor & Mayoress of Birmingham, Ken and Barbara Wood, The Rt Hon Sir Andrew Mitchell KCMG and Councillors for the civic service led by Reverend Canon Becky Stephens.
The annual service brings together our community, civic leaders, and local organisations in a show of unity and provides a visible reminder of the important roles in our society who contribute to the rich community life across our Royal Town.
Speaking after the event the Mayor said “I feel truly honoured to be Sutton Coldfield’s First Citizen and I was delighted to welcome civic guests, residents and representatives from local charities and community orgainsations for Civic Sunday.”
