About Me: I was born in India and moved to Great Britain when I was a few months old. I spent my formative years in the North of England – Yorkshire and Lancashire. My family moved to Birmingham when I was 11 and I attended Handsworth Grammar School for Boys before going on to the University of Manchester then spent a few years living in London. In the meantime my parents moved to Wylde Green, Sutton Coldfield and a few years later I moved back, got married and settled originally in Four Oaks then moved to Boldmere.
I became involved in local politics through community engagement, to make a difference in the lives of my neighbours, friends and family – I have been a school governor, I have been involved in community groups, forums and residents associations. I was part of the group who organised a petition calling for the referendum to create a Town Council and was active in campaigning successfully for the town’s citizens to vote in favour of it.
I have since had the privilege of serving as a Town Councillor for Vesey Ward from the inception of the Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Council in 2016 to the present day.
