About Me: I have lived in Sutton Coldfield for thirty years and have been married to my dear wife for nearly forty years. I am a father, grandfather and great grandfather, our greatest achievement is our family.
I was trained as an Analytical Chemist, I am a graduate of the Royal Society of Chemistry and achieved the status of “Chartered Chemist.” I have always been interested in Community, I was a Magistrate for twenty five years and I am currently a supplemental Justice.
I have been Chairman of a local Community Group, Wylde Green Neighbourhood Forum, also Chairman of the Boulevard Allotment Association , Tudor Rose Rambling Club and a Trustee of Two Charities.
A local referendum in Sutton Coldfield, held in 2014 re-instated Sutton Coldfield Town Council and the new Council was reformed in 2016, I was elected a Town Councillor for Newhall Ward in that year. I have served as a Town Councillor since that time.
In one of my roles in the Council, I was Chairman of the “ Sutton in Bloom “ initiative . We entered the RHS competition in 2018, and from that time we have achieved a Silver Gilt, and two Gold awards in this competition.
I believe our Town Council can make the Royal Town a wonderful place to live and work for our residents and a welcoming venue to all the people who visit our Town.
