Josh is committed to helping young people thrive and strengthening communities through leadership and opportunity. From 2017, he led Sutton Coldfield Sea Cadets, increasing cadet engagement, expanding training opportunities, and establishing a Royal Marines Cadets Detachment. The unit gained national recognition, winning awards like the Stephenson Trophy, and Josh was named best Commanding Officer nationally.

Recognised for delivering successful programmes, he was promoted to Area Recreation Officer for South West Area, overseeing the planning and delivery of large-scale youth competitions across the Midlands, Wales, and South West England.

Alongside this, Josh has built a career in HR at Paul Rigby Group, progressing to Head of HR. Through ongoing professional development he has helped shape company policy, improve engagement, and lead the people strategy. He has played a key role in the organisation’s growth from 60 to nearly 200 employees, ensuring the right structures and support are in place for long-term success.
