Mayor’s Christmas Card competition 2022

Every Christmas, the Mayor of Sutton Coldfield sends Christmas Cards to those they have worked with closely and have contributed to Sutton Coldfield, as well as churches, schools, care homes, charities and orgainsations.

This year, the Mayor of Sutton Coldfield, Cllr Jan Cairns, wants to give children and young people the opportunity to design this year’s card and is holding a competition to choose a winning Christmas Card design.

The competition is open to anyone under the age of 16, with prizes for first, second and third place. The overall winner will have their design used as the Mayor’s 2022 Christmas Card.

The theme for this year’s competition is ‘A Christmas Scene’ and the design must include an element of Sutton Coldfield.

The Mayor said “ The Christmas card competition gives young people in our town an opportunity to be as innovative as possible, and come up with an exciting original Sutton Coldfield themed design that will help spread some Christmas cheer. Good luck everyone!”

The deadline for entries is Wednesday 30th November 2022.

All entries must follow the rules and guidelines listed:

·         Reflect the theme “A Christmas Scene” with an element of Sutton Coldfield

·         Be A5 in size, either landscape or portrait

·         Be suitable for printing i.e. no glitter, foiled reflects or cut-outs

·         Original image and drawings only

·         You must be a Sutton Coldfield resident. All entries must include the full name of the designer, age, contact telephone number, email addresses and school (if applicable)

·         Entries to be sent to enquiries@suttoncoldfieldtowncouncil.gov.uk by 30th November 2022

 

  • In addition to the winning entry appearing on the Mayor’s Christmas card, images may be featured in internal and external communications from the Town Council, including our website, newsletter and social media channels.
