New Centres for Warmth to open in Sutton Coldfield

With Winter on the way, there are now 6 centres for warmth open across Sutton Coldfield. A centre for warmth is a free drop-in service where people can go to socialise, stay warm, well and comfortable throughout the colder months.

Throughout October and November local residents can receive some valuable support and information on the cost of living, advice on any financial hardship they may be facing, and speak to advisors about a wide range of topics – including home energy advice, debt support, free gas safety checks and receive free carbon monoxide detectors.  

The drop-in sessions are free and open to everyone. Qualified energy advisors will be available to provide residents with independent advice on various changes they can make to improve their homes energy efficiency. They may also residents to any grants or other support that may be available to them, such as free warm home items or referrals for home visits for more in-depth advice.

BVSC, Age Concern Birmingham and ecobirmingham will be opening 6 new Centres for Warmth in Sutton Coldfield, at the start of October, with funding from NAVCA and Cadent. The Warm Spaces listed are:
