Soul of Sutton Photography Competition 2025

Following the huge interest and fantastic entries received in last year’s competition, the Town Council is delighted to bring back the Soul of Sutton photography competition which celebrates life in the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield.

The competition is open to amateur photographers ages 13 years and over * who are invited to submit images that capture the unique character of our Royal Town.

Updated 19.09.2025 – (please note we’ve been overwhelmed by the number of wonderful entries received and wanted to make you aware that it may take us a little longer to shortlist. Thank you for your patience and we will notify those who entered in due course).

Residents can enter one of two categories, 13 – 17 years and 18 years and over, and choose from these themes:

• Sutton through the Seasons
• Creativity and Culture
• Celebrating life in Sutton Coldfield

Whether it’s a fleeting moment, a stunning view in nature or a celebratory event, we want to see what Sutton Coldfield means to you.

The competition is free to enter. Participants must be a resident of Sutton Coldfield to enter and can submit up to 6 images in total.

The closing date for entries is midday on the 10 September 2025. Winners will be notified directly on Monday 22 September 2025.

There will be a winner selected in each category (13 – 17 years and 18 years and over), with each winner receiving a £100 One4all Gift Card. 

The winning images will be featured on the Town Council’s website, social media channels, marketing materials and within our email newsletter. Selected images may also be showcased in a public exhibition.

It’s great to have another opportunity to celebrate and showcase the work of our local residents.”

All entries must be sent via email to enquiries@suttoncoldfieldtowncouncil.gov.uk or delivered by post to 62 Anchorage Road, Sutton Coldfield, B74 2PG, with your name, the location and a short description of the photo. You could also direct message us on social media or tag us on Instagram @RoyalSutColTC quoting ‘SoulofSutton’ with your details and a short description.
