About Me: I am a life time resident of Sutton Coldfield and I have been proud to represent Trinity Ward as Birmingham City Councillor since 2004 and from 2016 as Town Councillor. Being a councillor and a trustee of the Sutton Coldfield Charitable Trust helps make a difference, with grants to those groups in Sutton Coldfield needing support. I have fought to save our Town hall and became a trustee, working to ensure its sustainable future.
I chair the Sutton Park Advisory Committee and working together with the Town Council our aim is to protect and revive this unique habitat and ultimately run it as a trust to secure it for future generations. I was instrumental in setting up a friends group for Rectory Park and this has enabled successful bids to be made for funding for improvements.
It is important that our town flourishes and I have been pleased to have been able to improve the street scene and protect the grass at Beeches Walk. I am working to bring control of many of Suttons’ assets and services under the Town Council. For example, Vesey Gardens. I believe it is important to maintain the character of Sutton Coldfield and I will work to ensure any future development enhances the area and it is developed in line with the Town Council Master Plan.
