About Me:
It is a huge honour to serve the residents of Vesey Ward as a Town Councillor on Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Council. I have lived in the area for many years, and my passion is helping to keep Sutton Coldfield a great place to live, work and raise a family. I want to be accessible to residents, listen to their concerns, and advocate for improvements where needed.
I have worked in local government and education finance for over 25 years, including head of service roles at both Birmingham City Council and Warwickshire County Council. I was responsible for overseeing a £1.2 billion education budget and supporting schools across the city. I am also the author of Financial Intelligence for School Business Leaders, an Amazon top-100 bestselling book which draws on my experience of financial management and governance in education.
As a local campaigner, I have spent the past few years working alongside residents and community groups on issues that matter to our area. This has included campaigning to protect Boldmere Library, opposing proposed parking charges in Sutton Park and pushing for improvements to our roads, pavements and local environment. I also enjoy getting involved in community initiatives and helping tackle everyday issues such as potholes, litter and graffiti. I am passionate about local pride and making sure residents’ voices are heard.
